Follow Me
Each piece is captured in a rare moment where light, time, and place come together.
The mother was ahead by a bear-length, her broad back and the wet crown of her head just above the surface of the turquoise water, moving toward the far shore with the steady pace that bears use in open water. We were on the flat-bottom skiff, holding position on the lake with the motor off, watching this pair cross not twenty yards from the bow. Behind the mother, the cub was keeping up, its smaller head just visible above the surface, eyes forward, tracking the distance between itself and its mother with the focused attention of something that has learned not to fall behind.
Bears are strong swimmers - stronger than their heavy bodies suggest - and cubs take to the water early. But crossing an open lake is different from crossing a river, and there is a particular intensity in the way this cub was swimming that spoke of effort and attention. It was watching its mother's back. It was not looking at the shore. The shore would appear when it appeared; the mother was the immediate horizon.
Follow Me is an image about the simplest form of trust - following the one ahead of you through water you can't see the bottom of, in a landscape larger than you yet fully understand, because the alternative is unthinkable. The turquoise of the Alaskan lake, the closeness of the two animals in that expanse of water, the clear asymmetry of size and experience: all of it is in this image, quietly.

My Commitment
craftsmanship
Quality and craftsmanship sit at the heart of every piece I produce—long after the shutter clicks and long before a print ever reaches a wall. From meticulous file preparation to museum-grade materials and exacting color accuracy, each image is refined through a deliberate, uncompromising process designed to honor the moment it was captured. It is this final, critical step that transforms a fleeting encounter in the wild into a lasting work of fine art.
