Tunnel Vision
Each piece is captured in a rare moment where light, time, and place come together.
Some roads in the Low Country feel like secrets—places where development hasn't reached, where the forest still claims the landscape as its own. This canopy road winds through maritime forest so dense that even at midday, the light takes on a green quality, filtered through layers of leaves overhead. The tunnel effect is complete, immersive, transporting.
I drove this route slowly, watching for the right combination of light and composition. What struck me was the intensity of the green—not a single shade but dozens, from the deep emerald of mature leaves to the yellow-green of new growth, from the glossy palmetto fronds at road level to the sunlit canopy far above. The trees meet overhead in a Gothic arch, their branches interlacing naturally over centuries of growth. Palmettos line the forest floor, adding texture and depth to the understory.
These canopy roads are increasingly rare. Development pressure and storm damage take their toll, leaving fewer and fewer of these natural tunnels intact. When I find one this pristine, this complete, I'm reminded why preservation matters. This isn't just pretty scenery—it's an intact ecosystem, a wildlife corridor, a living reminder of what the Low Country looked like before roads were paved and forests were cleared.
Tunnel Vision celebrates the remaining canopy roads of the Low Country, where nature still claims dominion and travelers pass through on nature's terms, reminding us that the most beautiful journeys are those where we surrender to the landscape's embrace.

My Commitment
craftsmanship
Quality and craftsmanship sit at the heart of every piece I produce—long after the shutter clicks and long before a print ever reaches a wall. From meticulous file preparation to museum-grade materials and exacting color accuracy, each image is refined through a deliberate, uncompromising process designed to honor the moment it was captured. It is this final, critical step that transforms a fleeting encounter in the wild into a lasting work of fine art.
