For many bourbon drinkers, the Weller lineup is the introduction to wheated bourbon — the gateway to the Van Winkle expressions that share the same mashbill. I arranged all six bottles of the current Weller portfolio against the wine rack backdrop I've used for several of these collection shots, the warm cellar light doing exactly what it does best with amber glass and spirit.
Left to right: Special Reserve, Antique 107, 12-Year, Full Proof, C.Y.P.B., and Single Barrel — the complete family, each one representing a different approach to the same foundation. The green, red, and blue labels make for a more colorful lineup than most, and the wine rack behind provides a graphic texture that keeps the eye moving without competing with the bottles themselves. It's a portrait of a single distillery's range of excellence.
